In a room that’s saturated with relics of a transactional past, how can seemingly insignificant objects carry profound weight? How do the objects we acquire from past generations, or simply happen upon by chance, inform the narrative in your life, and to what extent does their history influence the poetics of domestic space?

“Ode to One” embodies these inquiries where the duality between materialism and memory, challenges us to contemplate the commodification of objects that ultimately become vessels of time. As you transition from one space to another, whether that be physically or emotionally, the things you’ve carried with yourself, consciously or not, have a means of molding your identity. By unveiling these transitions, we are confronted by the notion of possession and its role in shaping our surroundings. Every space we encounter, every object we touch, and every transition we make, we carry the collective memories of those who have crossed our paths.

Within the intimate confines of an interior space, what becomes of the objects that were once part of your narrative that are now set free? Puzzling indecipherable price tags serve as a commentary
on the enduring dialogue between consumerism and personal history; its contrast within the room alludes to the challenge of preserving personal authenticity within a world driven by transactional values. Our surroundings are not just mere physical structures but also intricate tapestries of our passage through time.
